About Getting Started

Who I Serve: I work with adults (19 and older) providing individual therapy. I am best suited to work with folks who are ready to roll up their sleeves and do hard work in an effort to make progress in their lives.

Getting Started: First, call me or complete the form on this site to inquire about availability, goodness of fit, and to discuss logistics.

Payment: I accept private pay (out of pocket). If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with a receipt you can submit to your insurance company. I am not an eligible provider for Medicare.

Rates: $300 for the initial 60 minute intake appointment and $240 for a 50 minute follow-up visit. My rates are set to allow me to support the costs of running a small business, participate in weekly consultation and attend regular trainings, pay off my student loans, and allow me to maintain a smaller, more manageable caseload that allows me to give my clients my full attention and energy.

Length of Treatment: Length of treatment will depend on the length of time needed to obtain progress and accomplish your therapeutic goals which we will identify together. Length of treatment varies depending on the presenting issues, personalities of the therapist and the client, as well the level of engagement (i.e., extent to which you are able to directly engage in session and practice outside of session). Typically, the most successful outcomes occur when the patient works on the issues at home in addition to the therapy sessions.

Availability: I am currently offering teletherapy using a HIPAA-compliant platform called Simple Practice. I book sessions Tuesday through Thursday (noon-6pm). My evenings tend to fill first so new availability is often mid-day.

Good Faith Estimates Notice:

According to the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
